Year 11 Biology Class had conducted a perfectly executed kidney dissection!
What a wonderful experience and very impressive that they carried it out with such precision. I would say their techniques were on par with our A’ Level biology students .
The class have just finished learning about
the structure and functioning of the blood’s filtering unit of the body (the kidney). They learned about homeostasis and the importance of maintaining a constant internal environment and managing salt and water balance -osmoregulation.
I really do hope our budding biologists go on to choose Biology A’ Level next year, some extraordinarily talented students in this class. Well done!
