It made for a very positive start to the day last Friday morning to join one of our exemplary Character Development Coaches Miss Collins and her CDC Group 8 Elm for their focussed CDC guided reading time. With all students listening quietly to Miss Collins and I reading, all following the text carefully with their BMS bookmarks, stopping occasionally to unpick some of the more complex words to check understanding it made for a great start to the day. The weekly session provides another important building block to our embedded literacy strategy across the school which is helping all students to achieve their potential in all curriculum areas.
