The art department was very excited to welcome our year 10 students back into the classrooms. Whilst they had been producing some lovely artwork at home it was great to be able to see them face to face and to watch them at work. My group is currently doing a project on body adornment and had the chance to look closely at different jewelry and make studies of these using a variety of different techniques and media such as continuous line, tonal shading, coloured pencil watercolour paints and oil pastels. Miss Cole’s group are studying nature and spent their lesson drawing flowers in charcoal, chalk, fine liner and coffee!
