Last week there was a real buzz around the school on our enrichment day which took place on Friday.

Our Year 7s had a wonderful day working together at Whipsnade Zoo and our Year 12 Cohort took part in a plethora of cultural and sporting trips and visits to six diferent venues in and across London.

Year 9s experienced Humanities in action through a variety of engaging activities and Year 8s had a very hands on practical day across a range of STEM subjects including Maths and Technology as they created their Mars Rovers as part of a Mission to Mars themed day.

Year 10 students experienced a GCSE immersion day across a whole range of different subjects – really enjoying taking their learning to the next level in these extended sessions, not often experienced on a typical school day. Some of the photos reflect their very positive and enjoyable art, dance, music and sporting based activities.

Year 11s focussed on revision tips in a well planned session in the Main Hall – so useful at this important stage of their educational journey, as well as time developing their skills in English GCSE sessions led by our top teachers.

Our hard working Year 13 students spent the day at school thinking and preparing for their next steps, writing personal statements to assist them with their important transitions to university, higher level apprenticeshiups and employment beyond Bushey Meads. All in all it made for a very positive end to the week and I would like to congratulate all staff for making such a memorbale moments for our students and those that really supported them to deepen their learning on a whole host of different levels.
