We were extremely privileged to be able to welcome Tony Fitzpatrick, the Director of Education for Hertfordshire to our school last Friday morning. He loved his time at our school and enjoyed meeting many staff and students across a number of key curriculum areas and year groups.

I would like to congratulate all the students in the lessons he visited for their excellent work and behaviour for learning and willingness to speak to him about the school, their work and progress and their aspirations for the future. A huge thank you also must go to all the staff.
The feedback he provided indicated that he loved the school and really enjoyed meeting all the staff and students. He commented on the very calm atmosphere across the site and was really impressed with the engagement of learning in all the lessons he visited and those he also saw as he walked around the school. In the end he stayed here for two hours – 30 minutes beyond his schedule.
His comment in our visitors book at the end of the visit said it all:
Thank you for a wonderful visit to such a lovely school. Great students and caring staff. A true sense of belonging.
He said that all the staff at BMS should be really proud of what we are all contributing to in shaping the lives of the children in our care.
