14/09/22 Kyle Oliveira 13Oak Kyle has impressed the Sixth Form Team with his positive start to Year 13. He has proved an excellent role model and is always looking smart and correctly dressed. He is taking his duties as a Prefect seriously and is making good use of his study periods. Well done Kyle maintain this excellent start! 
Lily Jackman 12 Oak Lily is a very  motivated student who has shown a consistently good attitude to her learning. She regularly participates in class and uses her study periods wisely. It is superb to see your smooth transition into our outstanding Sixth Form. Keep up the great effort Lily.
21/09/22 Zainah Kashif 12S The Sixth Form Team want to congratulate Zainah for her excellent start to our outstanding Sixth Form. Zainah is a new to school student who has quickly established herself in BMS, contributing in lessons and working well in the study area. We have been impressed with her focused and positive attitude to learning and wish her every success in the Sixth Form.
Colm Monaham 13M Colm has shown a consistently hard working approach when in the Sixth Form or in his lessons. He makes excellent use of his study periods and is an excellent role model for our new Year 12 students. Maintain this committed and diligent work ethic. Well done for such a strong start to Year 13 Colm.
28/09/22 Prefect Team Last week, many of our wonderful Sixth Form students volunteered to assist with our preparations to support the BMS Open Evening for Year 6 students and their parents. This involved over 50 Sixth Formers who offered to be tour guides, assist with car parking and helping in subject areas. We were delighted to see so many of our new to school students and other Y12 Sixth Formers getting involved and helping make the event such a positive experience. A special mention to the superb student leadership shown by the Sixth Form Leadership Team Head Boy and Girl, Head Prefects and Senior Prefects, who mobilized and organised the Sixth Form helpers and Prefects, and also updated school displays and so much more! Congratulations and thanks to Isaac Nesbeth, Andrea Tamang, Akshithaa Mugunthan, Omkar Shah, Liyandra De Silva and the outstanding team of Sixth Formers who staffed the desks: Kimberley Ngugi, Ifeoma Henry, Megan Hooper, Simran Sharma, Akshyat Dali, Humayun Cetin, Pavya Baleswaran, Laiba Bhatti, Yeganeh Ghorbi, Sidd Kanel, CJ Lea

for volunteering and their practical assistance all evening.

Our outstanding Sixth Form students were thoroughly focused and showed kindness, initiative and determination doing an excellent job which many parents commented positively about. You are excellent role models who excelled in ‘selling the school’ by your fantastic attitude throughout the evening.Well done to all of you, your help and community spirit was greatly appreciated, without all your efforts this event could not have run so smoothly.

04/10/22 Srivithuran Chanthirakumar Selvarajah 12 M For helping Mrs Sullivan and Reception out at literally the last moment and conducting a parent tour around the building when there were no prefects available to do it. He was a great ambassador for the school and he showed real maturity.
04/10/22 Khushi Aggarwal 13W Khushi is a model Sixth Former and always conducts herself in the manner that we would like all students to aspire to. She is always polite and helpful but is unassuming. She is a credit to the Sixth Form and Bushey Meads as a whole.
11/10/22 Anushah Choudhury 12E The Sixth Form Team were delighted to hear Mr Burley nominate Anushah this week. She has made fantastic improvements to her attitude, work ethic and output recently. She is trying very hard to succeed and I am very pleased indeed by the effort levels I have seen of late. Well done Anushah!
11/10/22 Omkar Shah 13M Omkar has continued to make progress in Year 13 with the same brilliant attitude and engagement he displayed in Year 12. He has earned a phenomenal amount of reward points for this early in the academic year and ensures that he gets the most out of all his lessons. Omkar is always a pleasant, polite and helpful student who is an excellent role model. We are delighted that he chose Bushey Meads for his SIxth Form education and are impressed at his commitment to success.
18/10/22 Amy Deutrom 12S Amy has hit the ground running as a fantastic member of the Sixth Form. She has earned the most reward points in Year 12 this term across all of her subjects, has 100% attendance and is always punctual. Well done Amy!
18/10/22 Tyler Pearce 13W Tyler is a model Year 13. He has 100% attendance for school and all of his lessons and is always punctual. Tyler is quiet and unassuming so could tend to go ‘under the radar’ for praise but his attitude to his education  and his maturity really make him stand out as a fantastic member of the Sixth Form. When he is not in his lessons, he can always be found in the Sixth Form study rooms engrossed in his work. He doesn’t appear to waste a moment, truly an intrinsic learner. 
1/11/22 Logan Riley Logan has successfully made the transition from Year 11 into a mature, kind and highly motivated Sixth Former seamlessly. Logan has been appointed a Prefect and acts as an outstanding role model fully engaging in the wider school community. Logan ensures he takes advantage of every opportunity available to him at BMS. The Sixth Form Team are very proud of his superb attitude to learning and aspiration, he embodies the ethos of Bushey Meads Sixth Form.
1/11/22 Akshithaa Mugunthan Akshithaa has a mature and professional presence within the Sixth Form. Highly organised and an independent learner, she combines her Prefect duties with her studies perfectly. Akshithaa is always reliable and will do whatever she can to help – often volunteering for tours or assisting staff. Akshithaa always maintains a sunny disposition and is very approachable with younger students if they ask for help. Well done Akshithaa, your hard work, commitment and kindness helps the Sixth Form maintain its outstanding reputation as positive role models in our community.
8/11/22 Sixth Form prefects The Sixth Form team would like to nominate every prefect from years 12 and 13 who helped out at last night’s event. Each and every one of you were fantastic.; The Year 12s who stayed out in the cold on parking duties, the Year 13s who were so professional  in dealing with Bushey Meads and New to school students and their parents before going into the Hall,  and the students who stayed with their subject teachers to assist and answer questions on our courses from prospective Sixth Formers. The staff do everything we can to promote our Sixth Form but it is probably the students who leave the greatest lasting impression on attendees as it reinforces that our students are proud to be a member of the Sixth Form and want to recommend it. We are delighted that you were our ambassadors for the evening and show that our reputation as an outstanding Sixth Form is deserved.
16/11/22 Luca 13B Mr Sylvester has nominated Luca in 13O as he consistently demonstrates a positive attitude to learning. He is diligent in his approach to his studies and brings his positive, cheerful and humorous energy to class every week. Significantly, his willingness to help his peers in class is commendable. Well done Luca this shows an outstanding attitude to learning!
23/11/22 Ludan 12W Ludan joined Bushey Meads Sixth Form a little later than everyone else but has fitted in so well it’s hard to remember that she hasn’t been here since Year 7. Her work ethic is outstanding and she is very focussed. She knows what she wants to achieve and is willing to strive for it. Ludan has such a positive attitude, always smiling even when she has a lot of work to do. We are so glad that she chose our Sixth Form for her A level studies as it demonstrates how a new to school student can flourish here. 
23/11/22 Humayan 13S Humayan is an outstanding Year 13 student. He has earned an impressive amount of reward points across his subject since September, not just for his attainment but for his attitude to learning which shows us how committed he is to reaching his full potential. He is polite, helpful and a thoroughly nice young man, well liked by his peers and staff alike. He is an asset to Bushey Meads Sixth Form.
30/11/22 Alex   12W Alex has been nominated by Mr Charmokly for reasons that are twofold. Firstly because of his exceptional work ethic that he applies toward his Chemistry studies. Secondly, Mr Charmokly has been so impressed with Alex’s proactive support of the Year 7s as part of our Kindness matters programme. We encourage all of the Sixth Formers to ‘give something back’ to our school community and the fact that Alex has applied himself to this so conscientiously in addition to being an excellent role model is to be applauded.
30/11/22 Nova 13S Mr Chambers has nominated Nova for her diligence, positive ATL and commitment to success in A Level Business. However, these attributes could be applied equally to all of her subjects as we know that Nova strives for the best in everything she does. Nova is a credit to the Sixth Form.
7/12/22 Rebecca  12B Ms Fort has nominated Rebecca for her ongoing support with music at Little Reddings each week. She  is so impressed with how encouraging and friendly Rebecca is with the Year 3s there, she really inspires them.  Little Reddings were also very appreciative of Rebecca’s contribution to their Remembrance assembly. Rebecca played the Last Post on her saxophone which really added to the solemnity of the occasion. The staff and students are all getting to know Rebecca and look forward to her visits.
7/12/22 Yehen  13B Yehen’s CDC, Mrs Famili, has nominated him for always having such a positive attitude to learning and always going out of his way to help others. He is an enthusiastic and vital member of her form. Mrs Famili was delighted with how Yehen presented the theme of the week when he represented Beech house in last week’s assembly.
14/12/22 Joey 12M Mr Chalkley has nominated Joey for all his help and support with the Year 7’s in D&T lessons. Mr Chalkley has commented how likeable and approachable Joey is and that the younger students find him very easy to talk to. Brilliant effort Joey especially as you have only been a student here since September.
14/12/22 George 13B George has been nominated by 2 members of staff for very different, but equally important reasons. Firstly, Mr Chambers has highlighted how highly motivated and diligent George is. Always willing to offer perceptive comments and well-reasoned arguments in Business studies. Secondly, Mr Turner has nominated George for being a fantastic role model for the younger students across the performing arts. Mr Turner went on to say that George’s performance in the Christmas soiree was superb and of a really professional quality. 
11/1/23 Anton  12O Anton has been nominated by his French teacher, Ms Pandya for his fantastic ATL.Ms Pandya has said Anton is proactive, thorough and always prepared for his French lessons. One example she has highlighted is how he prepares flashcards for any new vocabulary he comes across. She has been so impressed that he has compiled a list of French idioms without being asked and isn’t afraid to experiment with them. This is an essential part of language learning. Fantastique Anton!
11/1/23 Kimberley 13A Kimberley has been nominated by her CDC, Miss Stanton for being an exceptionally diligent and hard-working student. Miss Stanton has commented that Kimberley is a pleasure to have in the CD group as she has a lovely disposition and is an all-round excellent student. Well done Kimberley!
18/1/23 Ben   12B Ben joined our Sixth Form in September and in that short time has established himself as a hardworking and diligent student. In his recent English Language resit he made phenomenal progress – climbing 3 grades! The Sixth Form team would like to congratulate Ben on his commitment to study and for being a very nice, polite young man who has fitted in so well and has made many new friends.
18/1/23 Molly 13O Molly has been nominated by the Head of Music, Miss Way for her considerable progress in music. She went on to say that Molly’s performance at the Christmas Soiree was outstanding. As well as her musical talents, Molly works extremely hard at her Science A levels and is a real credit to the Sixth Form.

Sam 12E

Owen and Sam have been nominated jointly by Mr Sylvester. He says that they were incredibly helpful during their ‘Kindness Matters’ session helping with the teaching and learning of Year 7 History. Mr Sylvester was particularly impressed by Owen’s proactivity during a cover lesson. Owen taught part of the lesson demonstrating his own knowledge. Owen and Sam’s modelling of their fantastic ATL is the real key to success with the younger years. Keep up the good work.
01/02/23 Eunice 13O Eunice has been nominated by her Religious Studies teacher, Miss Falusi, for her consistent effort and positive attitude to learning in all of her lessons. Eunice applies herself fully and always contributes to class discussions. Eunice’s dedication to her studies has been proven by her fantastic recent RS PPE result. Well done Eunice!
08/02/23 Evan 12B Evan has been nominated by Mrs Speker for his excellent attitude to learning and work ethic in his Art lessons. She is also very grateful for his help with the Key Stage 3 art club. Great work Evan!
08/02/23 Roberto 13O Mrs Knowles has nominated Roberto for his active participation in his Law lessons and for using growth mindset in his learning, a really useful tool for success. Keep up the good work Roberto!
1/03/23 Olivia 12W Olivia has been nominated by Mrs Speker for her incredibly hard work and commitment in Art. She always throws herself into tasks and seeks to achieve her best. These positive comments could be applied to all of Olivia’s subjects as she has proved an excellent student, gaining an impressive amount of reward points from all of her  subject teachers. Olivia always demonstrates a high level of engagement and participation, she is an excellent role model in our outstanding Sixth Form. Fantastic work Olivia!
1/03/23 Lily 13W Lily has been nominated by Mr Burley for her superb effort and dedication in Childcare since September. Lily not only attained her target, but has exceeded it by two grades in her most recent external assessment. This shows how hard Lily has worked and how committed she is to her subject. Well done Lily!  
8/3/23 Alex 12A Alex has been nominated by several members of staff for being such a positive role model and ambassador for the school. Alex is always extremely polite,  actively helps staff and takes care of his school community. Alex works very hard and has a very cheerful presence around the Sixth Form and the rest of Bushey Meads. Well done Alex!
8/3/23 Maisie 13O Mr Burley has nominated Maisie for being very proactive in her learning by setting up an excellent independent learning timetable. Maisie has worked very hard and is following it with great determination. This has resulted in Maisie making great progress in Childcare. Fantastic work Maisie!
22/3/23 Luca and Aadil 12E Mrs Ram has nominated both Luca and Aadil for being outstanding members of her form. Mrs Ram says they are always early, extremely helpful and very smartly dressed. They are valuable members not only to their form,but to Bushey Meads as a whole and are great role models for the younger years.
22/3/23 Vritika 13E & Pavya 13A Mrs Sullivan has nominated Vritika and Pavya for organising the Year 12 prefects for the Year 9 Option evening. It is a very busy time for Year 13s but they ensured that the prefects were briefed as to what is expected of them to be great ambassadors for Bushey Meads. It’s also impressive because the Year 13s are on study leave on the day but both Vritila and Pavya offered to come in after school to help with the evening.The level of commitment that they show to their Senior Prefect roles is exemplary.
28/3/23 Ibiso, Mihir, Rakchiga, Kaushal, Apilan, Alvin, David, Joshua, Srivithuran, Ratshakan and Manuka Mrs Sullivan has nominated all of these Sixth Form prefects for helping out after school with the Year 9 options evening. From standing out in the rain helping in the car park to greeting people and serving refreshments. They were all a great combination of friendly professionalism.  We received so many positive comments from Year 9 parents remarking on how impressed they were by our SIxth Formers.  Well done all of you, we are proud of how you represented Bushey Meads.
26/4/23 Alyssa 12W and Emily 12E Alyssa and Emily have been nominated for both being all-round excellent students. When not in lessons where they are consistently and regularly awarded reward points by their teachers for good work and participation, they are always to be found working hard in the Sixth Form study area. They also show great commitment to their Kindness matters by helping at Little Reddings each week. They both have such a positive attitude and we are proud that they are BMS Sixth Formers.
26/4/23 Akshyat 13A Mr Donovan has nominated Akshyat for his incredible dedication to Maths. Akshyat ensures he never misses a lesson and attends all revision sessions. His commitment to his studies is impressive and we know that all the time and  effort Akshyat puts in will be reflected by successful exam results in the summer. Well done Akshyat, keep it up. It will be worth it.
