Outstanding Student Ambassadors for BMS
On Tuesday morning of this week Chair of Governors Di Hoeksma and prospective Governor Varsha Pabari joined me on a walk of the school and were impressed with the level of focus and engagement in lessons, the quality of teaching and learning and the calm and positive atmosphere across the school site.
They were delighted with the new developments made in our inspiring Design and Technology Faculty, now boasting an amazing mural in the entrance way and redesigned central learning spaces. Students in lessons explained the work that they were doing and talked enthusiastically about their learning.
In art two exemplary Sixth Form students Matthew and Roma (in Year 12 and 13 respectively) spoke at length to the two important visitors about the courses that they were studying at Post 16 and shared their high quality work, clearly indicating their efforts and high achievement.
At break time we visited the Sixth Form Centre and spoke to a number of other post 16 students who shared about their aspirations for the future and how much they had loved being at Bushey Meads for the past 6 or 7 years.
Our students do continue to be superb ambassadors for the school – friendly, articulate and passionate about Aspiring to Achieve.
