The Best Thing About Bushey Meads?
You might want to ask your child this question and many of you I’m sure have already asked.
In a short poll last week it was great to hear the variety of responses from our new Year 7 cohort who have made a very successful start to their journey through BMS. Lots of different subjects were mentioned which was hugely positive, as well as the friendship aspects of the school and chance to participate in new activities beyond the classroom.
One thing that was mentioned a lot though was being able to get a new chromebook to assist with their learning both in school and at home. All Year 7 and 8 students have now been provided with this opportunity and we have seen great success with the rollout of this excellent programme on offer via the school.
Engagement in lessons has always been high at BMS but students now have technology at their fingertips to take this to the next level. This was strongly evidenced in Mrs Amao’s class last week with students pictured here totally engaged in their research task at the start of the lesson. It was great to see.
