National Careers Week

This week is National Careers Week and it coincides with our Year 10 Work Experience.  The Theme of the Week is Innovation so in CDC time students have been thinking about what it means to be ‘innovative’ and how this links to future careers and employment opportunities.

Next week we will be smashing some stereotypes in science – looking at innovative young STEM scientists showing that scientists are not just old men in white lab coats.
Click on the link below to see some of their fascinating, inspirational careers from video games developers to developing assistive technology for disabilities to skin  and beauty scientists.
BBC Bitesize Careers is a great resource to go through with your children. It has links about a wide variety of different careers and options post 16 including apprenticeships, T-levels and Universities.
