Earlier this term several of our more able Sixth Form took part in the UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge 2024, an annual, national competition open to all qualifying year groups.

Bushey Meads has a strong history of promoting this competition to our pupils and the maths faculty frequently embeds questions from past papers into the lessons as extension activities and as a way of acclimatising the pupils to the structure and expectations of the format.  We encourage participation in the event, and in particular, the experience of taking part.

We would like to pass on a huge congratulations to all those who took part and applaud them for exhibiting a growth mind set, a quality we endorse, encourage and foster in all our pupils.

Teyim Alsaedi achieved a Gold certificate, Best in School and an invitation into the next Round, the Andrew Joblings Senior Kangaroo.

Zaki Alibhai, Rohit Jeyanthan, Kartikeya Kokkula, Prem Patel and Henry White all achieved a Silver certificate.

Aryan Aggarwal, Alex Green, Stanley Sullivan, Milan Tomai-Huszar and Adnaan Wardere all achieved a Bronze certificate.

Ludan Al Awad, Tom Harverson, Tishanth Pratheepan, Aman Rahman, Kuba Trinover and Ryaan Shakil all received a Certificate of Participation

Well done, one and all.

The next round takes place on the 20th November.   We all wish them the best of luck to all those in this endeavour.
