BRITISH SCIENCE WEEK

This week marks the exciting celebration of British Science Week (BSW) 2025, an annual
event that showcases the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM) across the United Kingdom.
Science at Bushey Meads went an extra mile in celebrating British Science Week,
showcasing experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
“Total Internal Reflection” by Mr Newton was phenomenal.
A beam of laser light was trapped inside a stream of water
through total internal reflection—the aquatic equivalent of a fibre
optic cable that runs to our homes and provides us with internet.
Students were eager to understand how this relates to the
internet service they receive at home.

Mrs Razavi’s “Coke and Mentos” was a real fun.

Students also took part in a hands-on
“Bubbles on a String” activity led by Mrs
Razavi.
