It was a real privilege to welcome a select group of George Michael fans to Bushey Meads School a couple of weeks ago and demonstrate how the legacy of one of our most famous ex students lives on at the school. The sun shone as photos were taken outside our Music Department under the Heritage Foundation Blue Plaque and the guests were entertained by several talented students who explained how they were inspired by the world famous singer and also sang a number of his songs. Do click on the link below to hear a short extract of Maisie singing Careless Whisper. Our guests were very appreciative of the welcome and emailed me some very positive comments about the event and the performers who took part. In relation to Maisie:

“She’s helping to keep George’s musical legacy alive. Fair Play to this young songstress! 💜💜💜💜I think George would be THRILLED with her performance.”
In relation to Peter’s performance of ‘I can’t make you love me’: “Wonderfully sung, George would have loved it.”
Helen Feightinger the organiser of the tribute visit wanted to pass on their thanks to all involved. “George would be so proud hearing those beautiful kids singing his songs.  💜
