KS3 INTER HOUSE INDOOR 5-A-SIDE FOOTBALL
Inter House sports events are a great way to get students involved in some friendly competitive sport. It’s always great to see as many students as possible involved with all CDC groups represented.
Year 7
Overview :
A very positive turn out for year 7’s very first Interhouse football competition There were lots of players involved which is always a positive. The football was played in a league format where all teams played each other once. All teams passed the ball around well however there were not a lot of goals due to the outstanding defending being displayed by various teams. A lot of teams could have won it however, Maple came out on top winning the competition by a single goal!

Overview :
A very competitive tournament saw 25 boys take part with a League format, Semi-Finals and an outright Final deciding the winners. After the League format the semi-finals saw 8ASH taking on the combined OAK/ELM/WILLOW team. Ash completed a deserved 1-0 win. In semi-final two 8MAPLE defeated the combined BEECH/SYCAMORE team 2-0. This left the two best teams in the tournament to play out a very keenly contested Final which was eventually won 2-0 by 8ASH with goals from N Cunningham and J Muraj. Well done to all those that took part.

In a one sided Final MAPLE played some of the best football of the evening to run out convincing 3-0 winners. This gave the MAPLE team 5their third IH Football win in a row. The tournament was played in a really good spirit with all teams playing some good football.
