We were delighted to welcome back five of our former students to speak to our current Year 12s at a recent Alumni event. We are so proud to see how Rebecca, Sahir, Nima, Akhil and Adam have flourished in their chosen subjects of Psychology, Dentistry, Marketing and Management, Computer Science and Law. This wide range of degrees demonstrates the aspirations of our Sixth Formers and the whole ethos of Bushey Meads to strive for your ambitions.
The Year 12s enjoyed the session immensely. As well as information about their courses and workload the Alumni shared their experiences of living away from home and other aspects of university life. They gave invaluable advice about student finance, cooking for yourself and making new friends. This really resonated with the Year 12s as it was from ex students who had gone through the process themselves so recently.
As well as lots of insightful questions on the day, there have also been many follow up questions for the Alumni regarding their chosen universities and courses. This shows how their visit inspired our students and really got them thinking about their own futures.
