Going 4 Greatness!
At Key Stage 4 all students at BMS have Going4Great lessons on their timetable. This lesson develops their independence as learners and prepares them for life in the Sixth Form where they combine their important lessons with study periods. During study periods they can complete homework set, undertake ongoing revision, or get ahead in their learning by completing additional tasks. Again this is an important step towards any learning in a higher education establishment, or on a higher level apprenticeship, where many of our students aspire to go to.
I have been particularly impressed with the Year 11 G4G class that have their lesson on Friday mornings. They have all turned up to the lesson with an excellent plan of what they want to achieve in the hour and have all worked incredibly hard to realise their goals during that time.
These ongoing incremental steps will inevitably enable them to taste real success in August next year so I wish them well as they continue on this impressive trajectory.
