House Arts Event – Results

I am pleased to announce the results of the annual House Arts Event. The theme for this year was Vision and we received a huge range of entries from poetry to photography. This year saw a change to the normal approach. We would usually have students come along after school in January and enjoy all the submitted work in the school gallery, but sadly this was not possible this year. Rather than miss out on the opportunity to see the fantastic submissions, Mr Malik, Head of Sycamore House designed an online exhibition and vote for all the students work.

I had great fun looking through all the outstanding work and was particularly impressed with the poetry on show, but it was the students votes that counted. We have now collated all the votes cast and can now confirm the top three spots below.

I hope that we can continue to run all our House competitions moving forward, it is always so lovely to see so many students representing their respective House and giving their all. A huge ‘well done’ to all those who took part and made this year’s event so special.

Another art piece from Chloe Shiers (8 Beech)

And finally, a musical submission from Yehan Singankutta Arachilage (11 Beech

1st place overall was reserved for Thomas Sookhoo and his photography piece. An amazing effort from Thomas and one that was well received in votes form the students and in positive comments from the teachers.
