Dear students, parents and carers,
Here is our next STEM Challenge of the Week.  It’s a fun challenge for all the family to get involved in.
Have you got some spare spaghetti in the house!  Who can create the strongest spaghetti bridge?  Why not challenge a friend to create one too and you can share the outcome with each other and discuss what worked, what didn’t and possibly even the engineering behind it all.  It’s all about compression (pushing force and tension (pulling force).  Please send any pictures or videos to me and we can share them in next week’s article.  An R3 will be awarded to anyone that sends me a picture or video.
For further inspiration, check out this Science Max video on YouTube.  It’s all about Spaghetti bridges.  Be prepared to be amazed!  Learning made fun for sure!  Click on the picture below:
