2024 MFL Mini Olympics at BMS
The MFL Mini Olympics took place on Monday 24th June when students from local primary schools came together to take part in a day of fun sports-inspired language games on the Bushey Meads back field. The competitive activities, masterminded by Mrs Samuels at Little Reddings School and supported by Mrs Crespi of Bushey Meads School, included relay running, skipping, hopping, egg and spoon racing, sack racing, welly-throwing and bowling, which the pupils tackled whilst recalling French vocabulary at the same time!
Following the strenuous rounds of activities, the scores were added up whilst students enjoyed a well deserved ice-lolly and the trophy for BMS MFL Mini Olympics winner 2024 was awarded AGAIN to Hartsbourne School! Well done, Mr Harper, for choosing such an accomplished team!
An amazing team of enthusiastic Year 7 BMS Language Leaders took responsibility for specific activities, leading each team through the instructions and keeping score of timings and correct answers. These students showed excellent leadership and dedication and the whole day ran like clockwork with their help. So, a great big thank you to all of those helpers.
A huge thanks of course also to all of the teachers involved in making this event a success, especially Mrs Samuels and Mrs Crespi, Miss Navqui and Miss El Mortada.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all again next year for the 2025 MFL Mini Olympics.
