Stunning Sixth Form Taster Day
On Friday afternoon it was a privilege to walk around a number of sixth form lessons taking place as part of the school’s annual Sixth Form Taster Day with Sixth Form Leader Mr Saich. The Sixth Form Taster day gives an opportunity for all our Year 11 students to experience life in the Sixth Form and try out learning across a whole eclectic range of sixth form subjects on offer here at Bushey Meads School.
Students dressed in formal business dress for the day and looked superb. They enjoyed using the stunning facilities developed in our Sixth Form Centre and embraced the experience of being treated as young adults for the day – even enjoying the food on offer in the Sixth Form Cafe.
I was particularly impressed with the level of maturity shown by the students in all the lessons we visited – all of them of an appropriate standard in terms of academic stretch and challenge befitting of this level in our school.
I do wish all of our Year 11 students every success in their continued studies and hope they all make the right choices for Post 16 that enable them to progress on to exciting futures beyond Bushey Meads.
