Fantastic Friday Reading
Friday mornings at Bushey Meads are always very positive; all Character Development Coaches (CDCs) provide set texts for their students and give them a BMS Bookmark. They then read to them and discuss any key words and the context of the texts. Students use their bookmarks to follow the text carefully and join in with any targeted questioning and class discussion.
Friday mornings at BMS help to strengthen the important literacy agenda across the school, broadening our students’ knowledge and enhancing their vocabulary.
It was great to see 7 Maple so engaged in this important activity last Friday.
