King Charles III Coronation
Over the weekend many households, families and communities will be coming together to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
As part of the celebrations a new initiative called  The Big Help Out is being launched.
The Big Help Out is a community volunteering initiative. Thousands of organisations are marking the King’s Coronation by giving everybody the chance to volunteer. It starts on Monday 8 May.

A number of our students already volunteer as part of their Duke of Edinburgh commitment. Volunteering is a great way to give back to and support the community you live in as well as make new friends and boost the CV. There are so many different opportunities to volunteer with something to support all interests whether that is shop work, looking after nature or helping out in an old people’s home. The possibilities are endless. Volunteering and the sense of community is proven to boost mental health too.
