STEM Enrichment Day 2018
Year 8 approached the “Mission to Mars” challenge with energy and enthusiasm to solve the many challenges this task generated. The students were required to work as a team, to design and build a ‘mars rover’ that could tackle the rugged terrain of Mars in C7.
The teachers were so impressed with the positive attitude and resilience shown by the students throughout the activity day. There were many successful vehicles produced, but also a fair few that didn’t quite make it off the start line or got stuck on the journey.
However, the lesson for the day was:
“It is only through failure that we learn how to be successful”
This is worth remembering, no matter how old you are, or what subject or topic you are trying to improve in.
Well done Year 8.
