Our talented year 12 students, currently enrolled in the BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in IT, have just aced their first submission with flying colours.
From the moment they stepped into the IT department in September, these students exhibited outstanding commitment and an exceptional work ethic. Their journey during the autumn term cantered around the dynamic unit “Social Media in Business” where they delved into the intricate world of digital marketing and social media.
The students were tasked with an ambitious project to conduct a comprehensive research on the benefits of social media in businesses. Following their research, they collaborated with either real or hypothetical businesses to create effective advertising strategies. The culmination of their efforts included developing a social media policy, crafting a posting schedule and demonstrating armature responsibility in managing online platforms and engaging with real customers.
I am delighted to announce that their project was an overwhelming success as the BTEC examiner was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their work. The examiner left glowing remarks, stating, “There is evidence of good teaching and assessment from the centre for both academic years and shows consistency. The learners are producing some excellent examples for the process of sampling and follow the national curriculum standards.” Also, “The sample met the distinction grade and had very detailed analysis and evaluations of the impact of social media on businesses. I particularly liked the level of detail in their answers and the features of social media types have been analysed with the effect they have on the business and the audience.”
This excellent feedback from the BTEC examiner is a testament to the students’ dedication and the high standards they have set for themselves.
Please join me in congratulating these outstanding students on their exceptional performance in IT:
This remarkable achievement not only marks their first taste of success in Year 12 but also serves as a powerful motivator for their future endeavours. I am confident that this success is just the beginning of many more accomplishments for these promising IT enthusiasts.
