Last Thursday was World Book Day and in what is becoming a popular BMS tradition, students were challenged to produce a book-themed cake. Whilst we had fewer entries than last year the standard was extremely high reflecting the dedication and skill of our young bakers.
Throughout the day the cakes were displayed in the library and over 150 people voted for their top three creations. The winning cakes, for which students received £10 vouchers were:
1st – The Golden Ticket by Sophie and Eden
2nd – Gruffalo cupcakes by Deandre
3rd – Harry Potter by Sameer
While most students took their cakes home for family to enjoy, Sameer and Aishani kindly sold slices of theirs, raising £16 which they donated to the school’s fundraising for Anti Bullying awareness.
Congratulations to all who participated and produced such impressive cakes.
