Inspiring Visit to BMS

Last week it was really good to meet Mrs Aharon the Acting Executive Principal of St John’s Infant and Fairfield Junior School in Radlett (one of our many feeder primary schools) and a real privilege to be able to take her around our wonderful learning community. She really enjoyed meeting so many inspiring teachers and students, talking to them about their work and aspirations for the future. As always when Headteachers meet there was also an excellent professional dialogue and I learned a lot about the work of staff and pupils at St John’s and Fairfield and the exciting journey that they are on.

Year 10 student Amy explained in detail to Mrs Aharon all about her learning in Food Technology and the current lesson taking place where students were practising their higher level skills of making Choux pastry.

Year 12 student Devan was a great ambassador for the school and provided all the details about the physical theatre activity taking place in our superb brand new theatre space.

Students in History were using drama to bring alive aspects of the judicial system they were currently learning about in their current Key Stage 3 Unit of Work led by Mrs Wright.

Mrs Aharon’s comment in our Visitor’s Book at the end of her visit summoned up her visit to our wonderful school:

The pupils are a true credit to you all – thank you for an inspirational visit. – Alice Aharon
