KS3 INTER HOUSE CROSS-COUNTRY

Well done Oak House – Champions!

The last week before half term saw the traditional Inter House Cross-Country competitions for all students in KS3. The events are a great opportunity for all students to participate in some competitive sport whilst also scoring points for their house. The PE and Health Faculty staff were impressed by the improving levels of fitness displayed by many students and it’s always great to see the students encouraging and motivating the other members of their house teams. The top performers in each race are entered into the District Championships and we look forward to hearing how they got on next week.

FOOTBALL

Under 18 v Parmiters (District League) – Mr Cartledge

Date : Tuesday 6th November 2018

Result : Lost 3-1

Scorers : C Osei

Squad : J Pazio,  E Enright, A Djahnit, M Djahnit, E Fiordelisi, C Cameron, K Barnard-White, J Simmonds, K Jackman, J Kimber, J Blagden, C Osei, J Leyshon

Commended performances : M Djahnit, C Osei, E Enright

Comment : The boys were unlucky to lose a really entertaining game of Under 18 football on the astroturf at Parmiters. The quality of football was a really good standard and the team more than matched strong opposition creating lots of chances in open play. After conceding early goals the boys really battled to get back into the game with some excellent passing and moving and were unlucky not to get a result after hitting the post and the bar.
