This term, our year 7 students have been exploring a new unit, Martial Arts in Dance! This has been an exciting project and the students have put together some fantastic dance pieces.
Each week, students learn new martial arts movements and learn how to develop these into a dance routine. We are only half way through the unit, but the work being created has been so creative, sophisticated and impressive. It is so nice to see how many of our students are taking on our challenge box to take their work to the next level.
Some of our students take part in Martial Arts classes outside of school and my highlight has been seeing them challenge themselves even further by taking on a leadership role and teaching some extra movements and principals to the class.
I look forward to seeing their final performances at the end of the term!
