Y7 field trip to Epping Forest
On Thursday 25th April, the geography department took 81 year 7 students to Epping Forest for an exciting day of field work. The aim was to study woodland ecosystems and analyse the different types of vegetation. This allowed the year 7’s to learn value techniques in data collection and data analysis. These skills are vital for students who need to complete coursework as part of their GCSEs so beginning this understanding in year 7 is very helpful.
The students had a terrific day in Epping Forest, having lots of fun and developing new skills. To top it all the sun was shining making the Spring woodland environment a beautiful place to be!
