Collective Momentum – Together we can...
Before the half term holiday it was great to be inspired by one of our Advanced Lead Teachers Mr Godfrey in our final Friday Faculty Foci of the half term. He reminded us that TEAM stands for Together Everyone Achieves More and that this concept (epitomised by geese flying in formation) had been modelled in his faculty as all staff worked together to achieve success. He also talked about how we all see the world differently and actually our varied opinions do all matter and can bring a greater insight into school life and our ongoing improvement journey. His final soundbite reminded us that we all have a part to play and it is in working together that greatness can be achieved.
As parents and carers you also have a crucial role to play in the success of your children. Do make sure that they all have a fully equipped pencil case with purple pens, pens, pencils, protractors and calculators. Do ensure that they attend school every day and are also on time for school and lessons – getting to school by 8.30 am at the latest. Do also remind them of our clear uniform expectations – to wear a blazer at all times and proper leather school shoes.
The best success comes from that three-way triangle of students, staff and parents and carers all working positively together.
