Wellbeing & Mindfulness in Sixth Form

This Enrichment Day a group of sixth form students embarked on a journey of self-discovery which explored mindfulness and wellbeingStudents delved into the world of wellbeing, discovering practical ways to nurture their health. Through thoughtful discussions, they explored the significance of self-care and the profound impact it holds on their overall wellbeing.

Immersing themselves in mindfulness practices, students discovered the power of relaxation techniques and meditation. Students took part in some progressive muscular relaxation, experiencing firsthand the benefits it offers to mind and body alike.

Students then engaged in team-building activities, fostering communication and cooperation under the guidance of their mentors. From constructing bridges with Lego to unleashing creativity in a paper plane competition, encouraging the development of social relationships and exploring the methods of working together and developing their cognitive skills. In the afternoon, we ventured outdoors, embracing the effects of sunlight while discussing the importance of physical activity in nurturing overall wellbeing.

In the end, it was an overall positive day for students, as they seized the opportunity to delve deeper into understanding wellbeing.
