Theme of the Week Tolerance
Students have been once again recently been inspired by our enthusiastic Heads of House when they led their assemblies on the important theme of tolerance. Assistant Headteacher Ms Silla (who oversees the SIxth Form at Bushey Meads School as well as the House System and Student Leadership across the school) led the Oak House Assembly and reminded students that tolerance is about showing understanding of others’ views, even if we don’t always agree with them and doing it with kindness and respect.
Our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships were once again central to the concepts covered in all the House Assemblies that took place.
Ms Silla quoted Nelson Mandela who said “Let tolerance for one another’s views create the peaceful conditions which give space for the best in all of us to find expression and to flourish.”
We continue to encourage all students to act with A Mind to Be Kind and show tolerance at BMS.
