Photography Taster Lesson
Led by Mrs Waring and Mrs Speker, Year 11 students had an introduction into compositional elements of photography, some technical training on using lighting equipment and adjusting aperture and a discussion about what makes a good photograph. This was followed by a paired task of going to take photographs using their artistic eye in the form of a photography competition.
It was good to try Photography because at the moment I do art and photography isn’t offered at GCSE. I liked how we had freedom to walk around the school and take pictures. and I liked being able to use the cameras and lighting equipment.

The winners Olivia Stanton and Betty-Louise Coste received a box of chocolates as their prize for their photographs of the wooden figures in black and white. Well done!
