Anti-bullying Ambassadors Donate Fundraising...

It has been another busy term in school.

Year 11s are about to begin their GCSEs and year 13s their A levels. It can be a very stressful time. But with the help of family, friends and staff they will get through their exams and go on to the next part of their journey.

Having support in life is essential. There will always be difficulties and challenges to overcome. There will always be some people who may hinder your efforts. They may even bully you.

Bullying unfortunately takes place in any part of life in childhood at school and then as an adult at work. Knowing how to handle it is essential. There are certain actions to take that will keep you safe:

  • Try to stay calm
  • Do not retaliate
  • Keep a record of events
  • Tell someone you trust
  • Be with people who support you
  • Do not blame yourself
  • Be proud of who you are
  • If it continues tell someone in authority

In Bushey Meads we have a zero tolerance of bullying. As soon as staff are made aware it is taking place, procedures are put in place, to support both those who are being bullied and those who are the bullies. Remember bullies are unhappy people, who also have unresolved problems of their own.

Bushey Meads anti-bullying ambassadors raised £116.00 during their last fundraiser. This year they have decided to donate this money towards buying a Post Box, to be used by students who are feeling sad or worried. These students will then have the option to post their concerns. The appropriate members of staff will then be able to offer assistance. The Post Box will remain in LRC4 so there will be easy access.

And remember …….

In a world where you can choose anything

Choose Kindness
