This week, our Year 8 students impressed us all with their linguistic talents as they delivered presentations about holidays in French. This activity was part of their ongoing French studies, aimed at building confidence in speaking and broadening their vocabulary.
All students worked collaboratively and prepared a presentation describing a recent or imaginary holiday, detailing a variety of destinations. Many students also incorporated visuals, such as photos, maps, or drawings, to bring their presentations to life.
One of the highlights was the variety of French phrases and expressions used to describe their adventures, demonstrating both skill and enthusiasm. Their ability to present in front of peers— in a second language—was truly commendable.
We are incredibly proud of their progress and dedication. Activities like these not only help develop language skills but also foster cultural appreciation and public speaking confidence. Bravo, Year 8! We can’t wait to see what linguistic adventures you take on next.
