EPQ Get Ahead Day
The Sixth Form Centre at Bushey Meads was a hive of intellectual activity last Thursday during the latest enrichment day at Bushey Meads School and it was impressive to see all the Year 12 students making such great progress towards completing sections of their Extended Project Qualification or EPQ.
All the EPQs are worth valuable UCAS points and provide an excellent foundation for securing university and apprenticeship places, as well as preparing students for future study and projects in the workplace.
Students at Bushey Meads choose their own EPQ subject and this can be anything that inspires or interests them: the links between social media and mental health, the dangers of nuclear power, obesity, the robustness of the current justice system and loneliness and love were just a few of the topics being researched and explored.
