Exploring Research Methods with Skittles
Psychology: Exploring Research Methods with Skittles
In Psychology, our students have been delving into the fascinating world of research methods, focusing on different types of sampling techniques. To bring this concept to life, we incorporated a hands-on activity using Skittles.

Students explored random sampling, opportunity sampling, and other methods by experimenting with the colorful sweets. They defined the terms, created examples, and applied their knowledge in a fun and engaging way. The activity was not only highly engaging but also memorable, as students were able to answer exam-style questions confidently by applying what they had learned during the lesson.

This activity highlights one of the many benefits of kinesthetic learning, where hands-on experiences enhance understanding and retention. And, of course, the highlight of the lesson? Getting to eat the Skittles at the end! It was a fantastic way to make a complex topic more accessible while reinforcing key concepts in an enjoyable and interactive way.
