Willow House: Champions of the Inter house...

It has certainly been a strange time as a PE teacher delivering virtual tasks to the students in the school over the lockdown period. However it has been great to see how so many students have continued to stay active and healthy developing their own exercise routines at home. As a Faculty we were determined to have some form of Sports Day to replace the annual whole school event which takes place in July every year. Hence over the last 6 weeks we have been running a Virtual Inter House Sport and Fitness competition with students and staff being rewarded for all the exercise they are doing at home. Points have been awarded for miles run, walked and cycled and also points for any fitness workouts including HIIT sessions, dance, circults, football training, trampolining and the many bonus challenges. It has been a very close competition with Elm and Willow in front throughout. It went down to the last day and after adding all points together Willow were crowned Sports Day Champions for 2020.

This is the first time Willow have won the trophy since the introduction of the new House System. Mr Booth, the new Willow Head of House in waiting, accepted the trophy on behalf of Mrs Speker, the current Head of Willow House. The individual year group results can also be seen below. Well done to all staff and students that have entered into the spirit of the event and we hope you all continue to exercise over the summer break.
