Comment: The year 8 basketball team made it 3 league wins out of 3 with a hard fought victory against Westfield. It was particularly pleasing to see more of the team on the scoreboard and hopefully this will bring confidence for the rest of the season. The boys showed some greater understanding on offence and when the pressure was on scoreed decisive baskets to take the win.

Girls Football
Squad: Sophie Parkhouse, Lucie Kirby, Eunice Yeboah, Nova Shrestha, Ilayda Tinriover, Olivia Bertie.
Result: Bushey Meads 2-2 Bushey Academy
Scorers: Eunice Yeboah
Comment: The girls worked extremely hard in order to cope with having so many players missing. Both sides had strong spells in the game & both goalkeepers made lots of saves. Eunice Yeboah had an excellent debut scoring the opening goal of the game. Bushey Academy took the lead early in the second half before the Bushey Meads girls were able to equalise in the final seconds.
Badminton report

Date: Tuesday 6th February

Opposition: St.Margarets
Result: Bushey Meads win 137-119
Comment: In order to aid grades, girls in both yr 10 and 11 GCSE classes were given the opportunity to compete in a competitive badminton fixture with local girls school St.Margarets.  This proved to be valuable for the students who got to play a number of singles and doubles matches in a competitive environment, and staff from both schools, who got to moderate student performance across the cohorts. With the scores level going into the final 2 rounds of matches BMS did well to outplay their opposition in the final matches and secure victory. Well played girls.
Team: G.Sargent, M.Shah, V.Mishra, K.Pabari, D.Sivakumar, L.Srishankar, A.Qarib.
